Alright, lets not waste anytime. The 3 movies I have decided to review are Back to the future, Friday peweesbig adventure. 2 are good one of them is completly awful.

Alright so first on the docit is Back to the future. Before this class I had already watched this movie numerous times because of how great it is. I find it entertaining about all the changes that can happen to the future if you mess with the past like twin pines mall turned into lone pine mall because the pine got run over. It was a really cool concept.  My favourite change had to be when the reveal his dads new book when he goes back to 1985 and its him in the yellow suit thing. This movie was really the first movie I ever saw that touched up on the idea of time travel and illustrated it in a very cool way. I cannot wait for the day when I can own a Time travelling DeLorian.

 On DJ's Christmas list Since he saw the movie when he was 5.

2nd on the review list is Friday. This Song is a work of art. It's so chalk full of amazing lyrics that you dont't even know what you should do with it. Her creativity was just through the roof on every level of this entire video and everyone loves listening to her amazing voice. Here is friday:

Her voice is just.....oh my god words cannot describe how great this video is. I can just watch it again and again and deffinatly not shoot myself. I will party and ya and I will kick it in the backseat. so ya there is my review on Friday, brings tears to my eyes.

P.S. Take everything I just said and Pour a vat of sarcasm on top of it.

Last but not least I'm reviewing PeeWee's Big Adventure. I would rather watch Snooki, Justin Bieber and Rebecca black all sing Friday 100 times then ever watch this movie again. No one laughs every 2 minutes,even when he got his bike stolen he was still doing his stupid laugh and being stupid. He's so frikin annoying. I've never had an impulse to throw anything at a TV or Smartboards  so strong. Story awful, acting awful, AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL! after this movie I honestly thought to myself: "Edwards, why do you hate me so much? what did I do?" Awful movie.

to begin this post im going to be very blunt. i did not enjoy this movie ata all and i dont think it deservesthe title of best movie ever. lets be serious, orson welles is an ok actor but charlie chaplin was even better then him, without talking. i kid you not. orson welles had the freedom of a speaking movie at his disposile and it made me miss the silent films.

its a bird, its a plane, ITS....... a superhero movie analysis

          Have you ever read a comic book and thought to yourself: "Gee I wonder what this would look like in a movie". Well chances are you can. I believe I can safely say that we are inside the decade of superhero movies almost as if there some kind of fad like the yo-yo. Iron man, the Xmen,  Thor, Spiderman and the Hulk are some examples of comics that have turned into movies, and that barely scratches the surface.

           It all first started in 1941 with the Adventures of Captain Marvel hit the big screen in movie serials( movie serials are like mini movies that you see before the actual movie). It was a huge hit and everyone loved seeing it before the movie and couldn't wait til the next time they came to the movies to see it again. The next step into the rising of the superhero genre was in 1966 with the release of POW! the Batman television series. Adam west, sound effects, POWS and KABOWIES everywhere. Now as much as this pains me to say because I am not a DC fan at all but in 1978 the first Superman movie proved to be a huge success and thus, the superhero movie was born. Which brings me all the way to 2000.  A new millenia and a the start of a decade of great superhero movies(yes mitch that includes Thor) and the new millenia starts with Xmen. Great movie that has lead to two sequels, and two preludes. I finally end this timeline with the future. In 2012 the movie to end all superhero movies will be hitting the big screen. THE AVENGERS!!!! Are you pumped yet?

            Stan Lee. I would just say that but this is an analysis. He is the master of his craft. Every single Marval movie you've seen or heard about it was his creation. He also makes a cameo appearance in every single Marvel movie. He is just Stan Lee. Another great artist has to be Richard Donner, the Director of the first Superman movie who started the Superhero era. Finally, Bob Cane the creator of the telvision Batman series opened up Comic book characters to the Batman series

             There are Numerous different things that are similiar in every superhero movie. The first being the costume. Every superhero needs some badass threads to Kick the bad guys butts. No superhero can go without a damsel in distress. Usually very good looking and is the initiative for the superhero to win in the end. Speaking of them winning they need someone to defeat which brings me to the villian. Usually has a very hear-wretching story as to why there a bad guy for example, in Superman 2 they get imprisoned for eternity when all they wanted was a little power. jeez superman lay off a little. Anyways, they always attempt to fight off the hero and lose everytime only to come back and try again thinking they still have a chance. Well maybe they'd have a better chance of defeating the hero if they stopped telling them there plan which brings me to yet another recurring theme in superhero movies. just tie them up, leave the room and go. He won't be able to stop you if he doesn't know where the hell you are.

              The backstory to any superhero is huge. It tells you where they came from, how they got there powers and there influence to fight crime. They may also fail at first in there back stories. If they try again they will succeed. finally, every super hero needs a a name. the naming process can be hard a vigourous but, most of time time it just comes out in the heat of the moment.

              To conclude, two values are seen in every single superhero movie. the first is good will always conquer evil. The hero always gets the girl, the victory and the love from the world. lastly,  the good guy at the end moving on, whether it be to settle down for now or move on to the next mission there always on the move.

             So thats that, there is some really great movie genres out there but one of the best has to be of the superhero
         

You've been struck by a Smooth Criminal

This is Smooth Criminal by Alien Ant Farm. Though we all know that the magnificent Micheal Jackson was the original singer of this song, AAF does a great adaptation. In this video it goes back from day to night. In the life of AAF there always partying but, I love this video because it includes everyone. It doesn't just have Girls shaking every inch of her body. It has guys with mullets, old guys doing the thriller dance, diaper wearing monkeys and a conveniant light up sidewalk on the front lawn, a perfect world. one stereotyhpe that is shoved in your face though is the little kid with the bandana over his face doing some little "gangsta swagga dance". the bandana over the face is a huge stereotype when it comes to gangsters. another good example is that the band members are doing all the moves that Micheal was known for. I believe the creed for this song is simple: Annie are you ok? because you were just hit by a smooth criminal. Values shown are mainly everyone can party whether you have a mullet, a bandana over your face or if your a monkey, were all equal and have the right to party. I think this video would appeal to teenagers mainly because of its complete randomness. So many things happen in this video that you have to watch it a few times to get every detail of it. It's also entertaining because of its randomness like, I know I have already brought it up but, how can a monkey wearing a diaper not be hilarious. In conclusion I believe this is a good video because it shows completly different groups of people partying at the same time loving life and keeping Micheal Jacksons beats close to our hearts.

Assignment one

I believe that the media is pretty important in my life. Everytime I walk somewhere I always have my Ipod playing my favourite tunes. When ever I have free time I'm either watching one of my favourite shows or playing some videogames. I think that without sources of media I would die of boredom.

Movies have to be the most important source of media to me. I go to the movies on a weekly basis, it's almost like an addiction. It's not even the type of movie that matters. I'll give a ny movie a chance. Take The Lovely Bones for example. Girlfriend wanted to see it, so we went and, though it was a terrible movie, I gave it a fair chance. I guess the next best source of media to me would be my Ipod. I really don't like walking in silence so, the Ipod solves that issue.

When it comes to pop culture, I love the technology but, I absolutely hate everything else about it. I love tyhe Ipod touch, it's a great invention. I also love the new smart phones, it's like having a small computer in your pocket. I hate all the new popular celebrities, they're all ridiculous. don't even get me started on the cast of jersey shore. I personally use media for watching my favourite tv shows, the newest movies and using the internet for facebook and hotmail. I think nowadays media is mainly used for commercialism and entertainment. some people use it for other reasons like online shopping or the news but, i bet if u took a survey you would find that most would say for entertainment values.

If i was on a deserted island, the 3 types of media I'd choose are television, movies and videogames. for my tv show, I would choose Family Guy because no matter how many times I've seen any of the episodes they're always funny to me. My movie of choice would be Independance day because not only is it a long movie but, it's also amazing. My videogame of choice would be The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. It's a great game and it takes a bit of time to beat.
